While it is unfortunate that we live in a time where such precautions are needed against the threat of violence against our church activities, we are blessed to have the freedom to be trained, equipped and protect ourselves under the 2nd amendment.
Many years ago, Mark saw the need in our own church to be trained and prepared for the unlikely and unwanted situation of an act of violence in our midst. This became his passion, and he founded a safety/security ministry within our church that trains men and women on the use of concealed firearms in a public forum during an act of violence/domestic terrorism. Since that time, this ministry has grown into a complete, well rounded ministry devoted to the safety of our attenders including video monitoring of all premises, situational awareness, watching incoming severe weather, First aid, CPR/defibrillator training, and of course concealed carry training.
Mark has held concealed carry classes at our church that have been open to the public in helping law abiding citizens (men & women) receive their proper training to apply and receive their concealed carry. Mark is an eloquent speaker and a great teacher/trainer both in the classroom and on the gun range working with people who are new to firearm training and those who are more experienced.
